Description & Operation

Catalytic converter is used to reduce exhaust emissions by means of a chemical reaction as hot exhaust gases pass through the treated material contained in the converter. The converter changes the toxic gases coming from the engine to harmless carbon dioxide and water.

An indicator light on the instrument panel glows at replacement time for the catalyst.
