Transmission Control Module - Removal






REMOVAL





1. Remove the battery tray Battery Tray - Removal.
2. Disconnect the electrical connections from the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
3. Remove the fastener and disconnect the manual shift lever from the TCM (1).

NOTE: Do not turn the shaft more than 60 degrees from the marking, otherwise damage may occur.





4. Retain the position of the TCM markings (1).






NOTE: Do not apply any lateral pressure when removing the TCM as damage to the connector pins could occur.

5. Remove the fasteners and carefully remove the TCM by pulling straight up.
