Battery System

STANDARD PROCEDURE - SHIPPING MODE

The BCM features a Logistic Mode (LM) function, (very similar to the IOD fuse function or shipping mode) which makes it possible to disable specific electrical loads to maintain the optimum battery charge. This low consumption power supply mode is activated at the factory. On vehicles with the LM mode activated, the following functions are disabled:
- Central locking
- Power windows
- Radio
- Navigation system
- Power outlet/cigar lighters
- Clock
- Climate control
- Courtesy lights
- Fog lights
- High-beam headlights

To disable the LM function by using the scan tool, go to BCM then Misc. function.

Verify that the LM function is active, turn the ignition key to the RUN position and check the condition of the charging indicator light. A flashing charging indicator light (blinking mode) is a confirmation that the LM low consumption power supply mode is currently active.

NOTE: It is only possible to deactivate the Logistic Mode once. After deactivation, no further activations or deactivations are possible.
