The brake operating unit (BOU) is a master cylinder equipped with a pedal feel simulator (PFS) and a pedal travel sensor. The BOU is mounted in the same position as a conventional master cylinder. The brake removable reservoir is coupled to the top of the unit. The unit incorporates an accumulator, brake line fittings and bleeder screws.

Bleeder screw #2 is located on the opposite side of the unit directly across from the Pedal Feel Sensor (PFS) High Pressure Chamber Bleeder Screw, PFS Front side.
