Throttle Body: Installation
- Check the condition of the throttle body-to-intake manifold seal (1). The seal can be reused if not damaged.
- Clean the mating surfaces of the throttle body and intake manifold.
- Install the throttle body (1) to the intake manifold. Tighten three bolts (2), one stud bolt (3) in a criss-cross pattern sequence to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).
- Install the charge air cooler outlet hose from the throttle body and tighten the clamp (2).
- Engage the EVAP purge hose retaining clips (3) to the throttle body.
- Connect and lock the wire harness connector (1) to the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC).
- Install the engine cover.
- Connect the negative battery cable and tighten nut to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.).
