Fuel Injection Pump: Installation

To install, reverse removal procedure, noting the following:

• Before installing pump shaft key onto shaft, gently tap key into groove on pump shaft with a hammer to insure a tight fit for pump shaft key.
• After installing injection pump, evacuate any air present from pump.
• Tighten pump drive gear lock nut to 29-52 ft. lbs. (39-71 N.m).
