Vacuum Control Valve

  1. Disconnect vacuum hoses from vacuum control valve and connect a hand held vacuum pump to intake plenum vacuum port of control valve. See Figure .
  2. With engine less than 115°F (46°C), apply vacuum and ensure that vacuum is held. With a warm engine, apply vacuum with and ensure vacuum is released when valve opens at 115-129°F (46-54°C). Replace vacuum control valve if necessary.
