Boost Pressure Check

  1. With engine cool, disconnect air hose from the turbo boost control solenoid valve on the turbocharger. Connect vacuum/pressure gauge to control solenoid.
  2. Start engine and allow it to warm-up to normal operating temperature. Increase engine speed to 4000 RPM. If gauge reads any positive pressure above zero, perform OVERBOOST WARNING CHIME CHECK  . If gauge does not read any positive pressure above zero, perform TURBO BOOST CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE CHECK  .
