TFI-IV Stator Check (Closed Bowl)

  1. If ignition spark is NOT present, remove distributor. Separate wiring harness connector from distributor. Measure resistance between stator connector terminals No. 1 and No. 5. Resistance should be less than 5 ohms. See Fig 1 .
  2. Measure resistance between stator connector terminal No. 2 and ground. Measure resistance between stator connector terminal No. 6 and ground. Resistance for each check should be less than one ohm.
