Output State Check

The Output State Check verifies the ECA can energize system outputs. It enables you to energize and de-energize most of the system outputs at will.

This mode is entered at the end of the Key On Engine Off (KOEO) self-test, after all the On-Demand and Continuous Memory Codes have been received. At this time, leave self-test activated and briefly perform a Wide Open Throttle (WOT). Each time a WOT is performed, most of the output actuators will change state from energized to de-energized or from de-energized to energized.

To begin, connect test equipment. See STEP 2.0: VEHICLE PREP & EQUIPMENT HOOKUP . Turn ignition key to the On position. Activate self-test. See STEP 3.0: PERFORM KOEO SELF-TEST . Wait for all code output to end. Perform brief WOTs to energize or de-energize the outputs as necessary.
