91) Continuous Memory Code 32/31: Check EVP Sensor While in Continuous Monitor Mode Code 31 indicates that sometime during vehicle operation, EVP signal was out of self-test range. Possible causes for this fault are a faulty EVP sensor or open or shorted circuit.
With DVOM connected as in previous step, enter KOEO Continuous Monitor Mode (Wiggle Test). Connect a vacuum pump to EGR valve. Observe DVOM while performing the following procedures. If a fault is indicated, go to next step. If not, go to step 93).
- Very slowly apply 6 in. Hg to EGR valve.
- Slowly bleed off vacuum from EGR valve, while tapping on EVP sensor to simulate road shock.
- Wiggle EVP sensor connector.
