High Altitude Compensation System

High altitude compensation is a function of the barometric pressure sensor. The sensor is built into the ECA. It provides timing advance according to altitude. If the barometric pressure sensor malfunctions, service code 14 will be stored in the ECA memory. If code 14 is retrieved and cannot be erased, ECA must be replaced.
