Emission Systems & Sub-Systems: PCV

Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Run engine at idle. Disconnect PCV valve together with ventilation hose from cylinder head cover. Block PCV valve opening with a finger and verify engine speed drops. If engine speed does not drop, replace PCV valve or check for restriction in system.
