Electrical Component Locator: Switches

CAUTION: DO NOT connect or disconnect Air Bag System Diagnostic Module (ASDM) electrical connector unless module mounting tabs are securely bolted (grounded) to vehicle. ALWAYS disconnect and isolate battery negative cable before servicing system.

A/C Clutch Cycling Switch
3.0L		On right rear of engine bay, on accumulator. See Figure .
2.2L		On right rear of engine bay, on accumulator. See Figure .
Back-Up Light Switch		On bottom of manual transaxle.
Back-Up/Neutral Safety Switch		At top front of automatic transaxle. See Figure .
Cancel Switch (Horn/Turn Signal Switch)		On right side of steering column, behind dash. See Figure .
Clutch Engage Switch		On clutch pedal bracket. See Figure .
Clutch Interlock Switch		Behind dash, right of steering column. See Figure .
Coolant Temperature Switch		On thermostat and in bottom right of radiator. See Figure .
Cooling Fan Temperature Switch
2.2L ATX		In thermostat.
2.2L MTX		Center of intake manifold, between injectors.
3.0L		In thermostat.
Idle Switch (2.2L)		On front side of throttle body.
Inertia Switch		Behind left rear interior trim panel.
Low Oil Level Switch (3.0L)		On right rear of engine above starter.,
Oil Pressure Switch		Above and right of oil filter. See Figure .
Parking Brake Switch		At parking brake lever.
Power Steering Pressure Switch		On rack and pinion, in right rear high pressure line. See Figure .
Radiator Temperature Switch
LX & GT		On intake manifold.
2.2L ATX		On thermostat. See Figure .
2.2L MTX		On intake manifold near injectors. See Figure .
Seat Belt Buckle Switch		At driver's seat belt buckle.
Starter Interlock Switch		Right of steering column, behind dash.
Stoplight Switch		On top of brake pedal support.
Trans. Fluid Temp. Switch		Top rear of ATX, for indicator dash light.
