Boost Pressure Check

  1. With engine cool, disconnect air hose from turbo boost control solenoid valve on turbocharger. Connect vacuum/pressure gauge to control solenoid.
  2. Start engine and allow it to warm-up to normal operating temperature. Increase engine speed to 4000 RPM. If gauge reads any positive pressure above zero, perform OVERBOOST WARNING CHIME CHECK. If gauge does not read any positive pressure above zero, perform TURBO BOOST CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE CHECK.
