Intermittent Faults
These faults indicate a defect that may or may not be present at the time of testing. Some faults may illuminate the CHECK ENGINE or SERVICE ENGINE SOON light. If the fault does not reoccur, the code will continue to be stored in the ECA until erased.
Intermittent faults may be caused by sensor, connector or wiring related problems. See INTERMITTENTS in the H - "Engine Type" TESTS W/O CODES article. Service codes may be cleared from memory by the technician. See RETRIEVING & CLEARING CODES.
