Bleeding Brake System
CAUTION:
Under normal operating conditions, ABS system is under high pressure. Before servicing any component, or opening fluid reservoir, it is mandatory that the system pressure be discharged. With ignition off, pump brake pedal a minimum of 20-25 times using full pedal strokes. When a definite increase in pedal effort is felt, pump pedal 2 more times.
ABS system is bled using conventional methods. Use either manual foot method with an assistant, or a pressure brake bleeder. Bleed into a clean container of brake fluid. Ensure all air is removed from brake system. Refill hydraulic system after bleeding is complete.
