Idle Speed & Ignition Timing: Notes

Ensure idle speed and ignition timing are set to specification. For adjustment procedures, see the ADJUSTMENTS article in this section. Ensure all accessories are off and transmission is in Park or Neutral. Set parking brake. Disconnect automatic parking brake release (if equipped). Vehicle front wheels are in straight-ahead position and curb idle speed set to specification.
