Upper Intake Manifold: Installation
Clean all gasket surfaces. Install new gasket on intake manifold. Mount upper intake manifold to intake manifold. Install manifold bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS. Reconnect EGR tube and tighten to specification. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
Clean all mounting surfaces. Position gaskets and upper intake manifold assembly. Install bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Check and top-off cooling system.
Clean and inspect gasket mounting surfaces. Position new gasket, and install upper intake manifold with throttle body onto intake manifold. On 5.0L, tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS. On 3.8L, tighten upper intake manifold bolts in sequence to specification. See Fig 1 . On all models, to complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
