Trunk Unlock

- Turn ignition on. Press trunk release switch in glove box. If trunk unlocks, go to next step. If trunk does not unlock, go to step 3). If trunk is always unlocked, go to step 5).
- Disconnect control module connector J1. Check for continuity between pins No. 9 and 22 of connector J1 and trunk release solenoid. If continuity exists, replace control module. If no continuity exists, repair Purple/Yellow wire.
- Check trunk release solenoid. If solenoid is okay, go to next step. If solenoid is not operational, replace solenoid.
- Check fuse No. 6. Replace fuse if necessary. If fuse is okay, repair open or short in Purple/Yellow wire.
- Disconnect module connector J1. If trunk locks, replace control module. If trunk does not lock, go to next step.
- Disconnect trunk release switch in glove box. Disconnect control module connector. If trunk locks, replace trunk release switch. If trunk does not lock, repair short in Purple/Yellow wire.
