Distributor Overhaul: Notes

NOTE: Overhaul is not recommended on Escort, Probe or Tracer. If distributor is defective, replace entire unit. The Ignition Control Module (ICM) on 3.8L, Cougar 5.0L and Thunderbird 5.0L engines is not mounted on distributor. On Continental, Sable and Taurus, ICM is located at right rear of engine compartment on cowling. On Cougar and Thunderbird, ICM is located on right side of radiator support bracket.
