Pinpoint Test C - Illuminated Entry Does Not Light Using Remote Transmitter

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect roof console connector. Disconnect CPU from interior fuse panel. Disconnect Gray control module connector No. 1. Remove right and left side interior footwell lamps. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance of Green wire between both footwell light connectors, roof console connector, control module connector and Pin No. 6 of CPU connector. See Figure & 5. Measure resistance of Green wire between Gray control module connector and ground.

  2. Resistance between all connectors should be less than 5 ohms. Resistance between control module connector and ground should be more than 10,000 ohms. If resistances are correct, replace keyless entry module. If resistances are not correct, repair Green wire at appropriate connector.
