Pinpoint Test E - Memory Function Does Not Operate From Remote Transmitter
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Program transmitter. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER under PROGRAMMING. If system now responds correctly, transmitter is okay. Refer to TROUBLE SHOOTING chart if necessary. If system does not respond correctly, go to next step.
- Replace transmitter batteries. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Program transmitter. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER under PROGRAMMING. If system operates correctly, refer to TROUBLE SHOOTING chart if necessary. If system does not operate correctly, go to next step.
- Using a new transmitter, turn ignition switch to ON position and program transmitter. See REMOTE TRANSMITTER under PROGRAMMING. If system responds correctly, replace original transmitter. If system does not respond correctly, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Black and Gray control module connectors. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between locations listed below:
- Blue/Green wire between Gray control module connector and program connector. See Figure & 3.
- Blue/White wire between Black control module connector and program connector. See Figure & 3.
- Blue/Green wire between Gray control module connector and ground.
- Blue/White wire between Black control module connector and ground.
- Blue/Green and Blue/White wire terminals of program connector.
Resistance should be less than 5 ohms on wires between control module and program connector. Resistance should be more than 10,000 ohms between control module and ground and between program connector terminals. If all resistances are correct, replace keyless entry module. If any resistance is not correct, repair wire(s) in question.
