Repair and Diagnosis: Electrical: Starter: Description

Starting system consists of a starter motor, solenoid, battery, ignition switch, transmission range switch (A/T) or clutch pedal position switch (M/T), starter interrupt relay (with anti-theft system) and interconnecting cables and wires.

Ignition switch power is supplied from 100-amp MAIN fuse and 60-amp BTN fuse in engine compartment fuse panel, and 40-amp IG KEY fuse in interior fuse panel. Starter interrupt relay is powered by 15-amp ENGINE fuse in interior fuse panel and is controlled by PCM.
