Description & Operation
The electric cooling fan system consists of a 2-speed fan controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) through a low cooling fan relay and a high cooling fan relay. Engine temperature is monitored by the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. The cooling fans are activated when ignition switch is on and engine temperature is high. The cooling fan also operates when A/C system is in use.
