Single Switch

  1. Ensure master control lock-out switch is released (non-lock-out position). Remove suspect single window switch, leaving connector attached. Turn ignition on.
  2. Check for battery voltage at Black/Blue wire of single switch connector. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present at switch connector, check for battery voltage at Black/Blue wire of master window switch connector. If battery voltage is not present at Black/Blue wire of master window switch connector, perform master switch testing. If battery voltage is present at Black/Blue wire of master switch connector, repair Black/Blue wire.
  3. With switch in released position, no voltage should be present at Red or Green wire terminals of single switch. With switch in UP position, check for battery voltage at Red wire of single switch connector. With switch in DOWN position, battery voltage should be present at Green wire of single switch connector.
  4. If switch does not function as specified, replace switch. If switch tests okay, check Red and Green wires between switch and power window motor.
