On-Demand Self-Test

  1. This test is used to verify selected module is operating. Hook-up New Generation Star (NGS) scan tester. See EQUIPMENT HOOK-UP  . Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
  2. Rotate dial on scan tester to DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK menu, and press trigger to select and advance to next screen. Highlight and select module you wish to receive information from. Advance to next screen.
  3. Highlight and select DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODES. Advance to next screen. Highlight ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST, press trigger to select, then press 3 button to start.
  4. Prepare vehicle for entry condition as specified for each module. Press trigger. Record any DTCs displayed.
