- Disconnect Black 16-pin lighting control module connector C2027 (located under instrument panel to right of steering column). Measure resistance between DLC pin No. 7 (Light Blue/White wire) and lighting control module connector C2027 pin No. 16 (Yellow/Black wire). See Figure and Fig 1. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Light Blue/White wire. Reconnect connectors. Repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS under COMMUNICATION NETWORK DIAGNOSTICS.
- With lighting control module C2027 still disconnected, inspect connector C2027 pin No. 16 for damage or bad wire connection. If pin and wire connection is okay, go to next step. If pin or wire connection is damaged, repair as necessary. Reconnect connectors. Repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS under COMMUNICATION NETWORK DIAGNOSTICS.
- With lighting control module C2027 still disconnected, inspect lighting control module pin No. 16 for damage. If pin is okay, replace lighting control module. If pin is damaged, repair as necessary. Reconnect connectors. Repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS under COMMUNICATION NETWORK DIAGNOSTICS.
