Test K: RCC Module Does Not Respond To Scan Tool

  1. Check PCM Connector

Turn ignition off. Disconnect Remote Climate Control (RCC) module. RCC module is located behind glove box. Inspect RCC harness connector terminals. If terminals are okay, go to next step. Repair any damaged terminals. Restore all electrical connections and repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS  to confirm repair.
  2. Check Circuits No. 914 & 915 Between DLC & Connector C243

Turn ignition off. Disconnect harness connector C243 (16-terminal connector near RCC module). Measure resistance of Tan/Orange wire between DLC terminal No. 2 and harness connector C243. Measure resistance of Pink/Light Blue wire between DLC terminal No. 10 and harness connector C243. If both resistance measurements are 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If either resistance measurement is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Tan/Orange or Pink/Light Blue wire. Restore all electrical connections and repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS  to confirm repair.
  3. Check Harness Connector C243

Inspect harness connector C243 terminals. If terminals are okay, go to next step. Repair any damaged terminals. Restore all electrical connections and repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS  to confirm repair.
  4. Check Circuits No. 914 & 915 Between RCC Module & Connector C243

Measure resistance of Tan/Orange and Pink/Light Blue wires between RCC module and harness connector C243. If either resistance measurement is greater than 5 ohms, repair open Tan/Orange or Pink/Light Blue wire. If both resistance measurements are 5 ohms or less, replace RCC module. Restore all electrical connections and repeat DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS  to confirm repair.
