DTC B1400: Driver Window One-Touch Relay Circuit Short To
BATTERY
- Check PID - Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using NGS tester, access GEM PID D_PWRLY. If GEM PID D_PWRLY indicates SHORTVBAT, go to next step. If GEM PID D_PWRLY does not indicate SHORTVBAT, inspect one-touch window down relay and GEM terminals for corrosion or damage and repair as necessary. Using NGS tester, repeat GEM self-test.
- Check For Shorted Relay - With GEM PID D_PWRLY still accessed, remove one-touch window down relay from instrument panel fuse block. If GEM PID D_PWRLY still indicates SHORTVBAT, go to next step. If GEM PID D_PWRLY no longer indicates SHORTVBAT, replace one-touch window down relay. Using NGS tester, repeat GEM self-test.
- Check Instrument Panel Fuse Block - Turn ignition off. Disconnect GEM 18-pin connector C201 from instrument panel fuse block. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a voltmeter, check voltage between ground and one-touch window down relay connector terminal No. 85. See Figure . If battery voltage exists, replace instrument panel fuse block. Using NGS tester, repeat GEM self-test. If battery voltage does not exist, replace GEM. Using NGS tester, repeat GEM self-test.
