Test A: Power Seat Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove fuse No. 28 (30-amp) from central junction box. Check fuse. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is blown, repair short to ground in Orange/Yellow wire.
  2. Install fuse No. 28. Disconnect power seat control switch harness connector C1852A. See Fig 1 . Measure voltage at Orange/Yellow wire terminal at power seat control switch harness connector C1852A. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Orange/Yellow wire.
  3. Measure resistance between ground and Black wire terminal at power seat control switch harness connector C1852A. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace power seat control switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire.
