Traction Control Cannot Be Disabled
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control module connector. Measure resistance of Black/White wire between ABS control module connector and ground, while pressing and releasing traction control switch. If resistance is less than 5 ohms with switch depressed, and more than 10 k/ohms with switch released, go to step 4) . If resistance is not as specified, go to next step.
- Disconnect traction control switch 8-pin connector. Measure resistance of Black/White wire between ABS control module connector and traction control switch connector. Measure resistance of Black/White wire between ABS control module connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms between switch connector and ABS connector, and more than 10 k/ohms between ABS connector and ground. Go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, repair Black/White wire. Repeat self-test.
- Measure resistance of Black wire between traction control switch connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace traction control switch. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair Black wire. Repeat self-test.
- Turn ignition on. Measure voltage of Black/White wire between ABS control module connector and ground. If voltage is present, repair Black/White wire. Repeat self-test. If no voltage is present, replace Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU). Repeat self-test.
