Abs Sensor

  1. Connect EEC-IV 60-Pin Breakout Box to ABCM with ABS adapter cable. Disconnect suspected ABS sensor. With digital multimeter, using Minimum Resistance Hold Feature Enabled, monitor resistance between Breakout Box and ground, and between Breakout Box pins as noted in chart, while driving over rough roads. See ABS SENSOR RESISTANCE CHART  .
  2. If continuity exists between either circuit and ground, or between 2 circuits, repair shorts in appropriate circuit wiring.
  3. Check harness for open circuit. Attach jumper wire between 2 pins of suspect sensor. Make sure jumper is securely connected. With multimeter as in step 1)  , again drive over rough roads and monitor resistance between Breakout Box pins as noted in chart. See ABS SENSOR RESISTANCE CHART  . If open is detected, repair open in appropriate wiring.
