Test G: Vent Power Window(S) Inoperative

  1. Disconnect left and right rear quarter flip window motor 2-pin harness connectors C418 and C419. Measure resistance between left rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C418 terminal No. 1 (Brown/Yellow wire) and ground, or right rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C419 terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Black wire) and ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, go to next step. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to step  3 .
  2. Disconnect master window regulator control switch 7-pin harness connector C514. Measure resistance between left rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C418 terminal No. 1 (Brown/Yellow wire) and master window regulator control switch harness connector C514 terminal No. 4 (Brown/Yellow wire), or between right rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C419 terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Black wire) and master window regulator control switch harness connector C514 terminal No. 7 (Yellow/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace master window regulator control switch. See WINDOW REGULATOR CONTROL SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  3. Disconnect master window regulator control switch 7-pin harness connector C514. Measure resistance between left rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C418 terminal No. 1 (Brown/Yellow wire) and ground, or between right rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C419 terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Black wire) and ground. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  4. Disconnect master window regulator control switch 7-pin harness connector C514. Measure resistance between left rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C418 terminal No. 2 (Brown wire) and ground, or between right rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C419 terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Light Blue wire) and ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, go to next step. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to step  6 .
  5. Disconnect master window regulator control switch 7-pin harness connector C514. Measure resistance between left rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C418 terminal No. 2 (Brown wire) and master window regulator control switch harness connector C514 terminal No. 5 (Brown wire), or between right rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C419 terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Light Blue wire) and master window regulator control switch harness connector C514 terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Light Blue wire).
  6. Disconnect master window regulator control switch 7-pin harness connector C514. Measure resistance between left rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C418 terminal No. 2 (Brown wire) and ground, or between right rear quarter flip window motor harness connector C419 terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Light Blue wire) and ground. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace rear quarter flip window motor. See REAR QUARTER FLIP WINDOW MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in appropriate wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
