Power Door Lock/Unlock Relay
- Remove and disconnect power door lock/unlock relay located behind passenger kick panel. Measure resistance between power door lock/unlock relay terminal No. 5 and terminals No. 2, 4, 7 and 9. See Fig 1
. All resistances should be 150-185 ohms. If resistances are not as specified, replace power door lock/unlock relay.
- Measure resistance between power door lock/unlock relay terminal No. 6 and terminals No. 3, 8 and 12. See Fig 1
. All resistances should be less than 5 ohms. If all resistances are as specified, go to next step. If resistances are not as specified, replace power door lock/unlock relay.
- Apply battery voltage to relay terminal No. 5 and ground to relay terminal No. 1. Measure voltage between ground and relay terminal No. 7. See Fig 1
. Apply battery voltage to relay terminal No. 5 and ground to relay terminal No. 2. Measure voltage between ground and relay terminal No. 6.
- Apply battery voltage to relay terminal No. 5 and ground to relay terminal No. 3. Measure voltage between ground and relay terminal No. 4. See Fig 1
. Apply battery voltage to relay terminal No. 5 and ground to relay terminal No. 8. Measure voltage between ground and relay terminal No. 9.
- Voltage in all tests should be more than 10 volts. If voltage is not as specified, replace power door lock/unlock relay. If all voltages are as specified, relay is functioning properly.
