System Tests: Notes
NOTE:
If vehicle is within 1/2 mile of radio or TV towers, operating distance of remote transmitters may be reduced. A New Generation Star Tester or other OBD-II compliant scan tool and digital multimeter is needed to test remote keyless entry system.
Before beginning any system testing, perform SELF-DIAGNOSTICS under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If no DTCs are retrieved in preliminary procedure, go to appropriate system test in SYMPTOM INDEX table.
