Module Configuration Procedure

  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Select MODULE CONFIGURATION menu.
  2. Select Restraint Control Module (RCM). Vehicle data must be downloaded prior to removing module. If RCM will not communicate with scan tool, contact manufacturer for further instructions. Download module code and/or vehicle data from the defective RCM.
  3. Replace defective RCM. Using scan tool, configure NEW RCM according to the model variant.
  4. Remove scan tool from DLC. Check for proper air bag system operation. Perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
