Preliminary Inspection

Ensure battery posts and cables are clean and tight. Inspect drive belt. Ensure connections at generator, regulator and engine ground are clean and tight. Inspect battery junction box fuses No. 24 (30-amp) and mega fuse (175-amp) located near battery junction box and central junction box fuse No. 15 (7.5-amp). Turn ignition on and ensure warning light operates. Check bulb and circuit, if necessary. Start engine and verify charge warning light goes out. If problem is found, repair as necessary.
