Using the Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS) When the Original Module is Not Available

  1. Install the new module.
  2. Connect the WDS and ID the vehicle as normal.
  3. From the Toolbox icon, select and highlight Module Programming. Then highlight the module that was installed and press the check mark.
  4. Select and highlight Programmable Module Installation. Then highlight the module that was installed and press the check mark.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions, turn the ignition key to the RUN position and press the check mark.
  6. The WDS retrieves the module data, automatically downloads the data into the new module, and displays Module Configuration Complete.
  7. If the data is not available in the module, the WDS displays a screen stating to contact the As-Built Data Center. Retrieve the data from WWW.FMCDEALER.COM at this time and press the check mark.
  8. Enter the module data (the module address and line are displayed to the left of the 3 entry boxes) and press the check mark.
  9. The WDS downloads the data into the new module and displays Operation Successful - Programming Complete.
  10. Test the module for correct operation.
