Test B: Powertrain Control Module Does Not Respond To Scan Tool

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect PCM harness connector C415. Measure resistance between PCM harness connector C415 terminal No. 16 (Gray/Orange wire) and DLC terminal No. 2 (Gray/Red wire). See Figure and Fig 1 . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms , repair open between C415 and DLC connector. Test system operation.
  2. Measure resistance between PCM connector C415 terminal No. 15 (Blue/Black wire) and DLC connector terminal No. 10 (Blue/Red wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace PCM and test system operation. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open between C415 and DLC connector. Test system operation.
