Test I: No Module/Network Communication - All Modules

  1. Measure voltage between ground and Data Link Connector (DLC) terminal No. 16 (Orange wire). See Figure. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  2. Measure resistance between ground and DLC terminals No. 4 (Black wire) and No. 5 (Black/Orange wire). See Figure. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, system is okay. Check scan tool. Refer to scan tool manufacturer's instructions. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair ground circuit(s) and retest system. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
