Master Window/Door Lock Switch

Remove master window/door lock switch. See WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check continuity between appropriate switch terminals with switch in appropriate position. See MASTER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH TESTING (CONVERTIBLE)  or MASTER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH TESTING (COUPE)  table. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . If continuity does not exist between specified terminals, replace master window/door lock switch.

MASTER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH TESTING (CONVERTIBLE)

Passenger's Window
Down 7 & 15
Up 9 & 15
Left Rear Window
Down 10 & 15

Right Rear Window

Window Lock-Out Switch Locked 15 & 16
Door Lock Switch
Lock 3 & 4
Neutral (3)
Unlock 2 & 3
(1) Continuity should never exist between terminals No. 14 and 15.
(2) With all window switches at rest, continuity should exist between terminal No. 14 and terminals No. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
(3) With door lock switches at rest, continuity should not exist between terminals No. 2 and 3 or between terminals No. 3 and 4.
MASTER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH TESTING (COUPE)

(1) Continuity should never exist between terminals No. 9 and 11, between terminals No. 11 and 14, between terminals No. 7 and 10 or between terminals No. 10 and 12.
(2) With all window switches at rest, continuity should exist between terminal No. 12 and terminals No. 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14 and 15.
(3) With door lock switches at rest, continuity should not exist between terminals No. 2 and 3 or between terminals No. 3 and 4.
