Generator No-Load Test

Ensure battery is okay. See BATTERY LOAD TEST . Turn headlights on for 15 seconds to remove surface charge. Turn headlights off. Measure and record battery voltage. Start and run engine at 1500 RPM with no electrical load (all accessories off). With engine running at 1500 RPM, observe voltmeter. When voltage stabilizes, voltage should be at least 2.5 volts more than recorded voltage. See GENERATOR SPECIFICATIONS .
