Programmable Parameters

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Mercury Montego, 2005 Ford Freestyle, and 2005 Ford Five Hundred. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

If a module that has been modified using programmable parameters needs to be installed, the PMI procedure maintains the parameters in their altered state if diagnostic tool is able to communicate with the old module during vehicle ID. Otherwise, you may need to use programmable parameters to return parameters to the altered state.
