Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter Programming

NOTE: Before entering program mode, verify that battery is fully charged and anti-theft system (if equipped) is not armed or triggered.

NOTE: When entering program mode, other transmitters pressed within 100 feet of vehicle may be programmed to vehicle.

NOTE: For Mexico-built anti-theft system, horn will chirp to confirm programming.

All Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters (limit of 4) must be programmed at same time. To program all RKE transmitters, cycle ignition switch from LOCK to ON position 8 times within 10 seconds, ending in ON position or cycle ignition switch from LOCK to START position 4 times in 10 seconds, ending in ON position. If Remote Anti-Theft Personality (RAP) module successfully enters program mode, door(s) will lock and unlock.

After door(s) lock and unlock, press any button on each RKE transmitter. After each button is pressed on RKE transmitters, door lock(s) will lock and unlock to confirm programming. Once all RKE transmitters have been programmed, turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Door lock(s) will lock and unlock one last time to confirm completion of programming.
