System Tests: Notes
WARNING:
Disable air bag system before working around steering column or removing any air bag system component. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS

CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See appropriate COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
CAUTION:
Careful when probing the fuse junction panel, power distribution box or any connectors. Damage will result to connector receptacle if probe or terminal used is too large.
CAUTION:
Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
NOTE:
Before beginning SYSTEM TESTS, perform PRELIMINARY INSPECTION
under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
NOTE:
If vehicle is within 1/2 mile of radio or TV towers, operating distance of remote keyless entry transmitters may be reduced.
NOTE:
After repairs are complete, ensure all components are properly installed and all harness connectors are connected properly. Repeat data link diagnostic test. See PINPOINT TEST PC: DATA LINK DIAGNOSTICS NETWORK TEST
