Module - Anti-Lock Brake Control: Installation

    CAUTION: Once the new module is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the scan tool into the new module. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
    NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn its strategy.
    NOTE: Clean the top of the HCU before installing the new module.
    NOTE: Clean the harness and module sides of the electrical connector before connecting. Clean and lubricate the weather seal gasket using Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound D7AZ-19A331-A (WA-10) meeting Ford specification ESE-M1C171-A.

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
