Main Control Valve Body - Upper: Assembly

  1. Clean all components with a suitable solvent and use compressed air to dry all parts and clean the fluid passages. Perform the following before assembling:
    • Inspect the valves for damage or wear.
    • Check for worn or broken springs.
  2. NOTE: Do not compress the spring when measuring it with vernier calipers.

  3. Measure the free length of the throttle modulator valve spring, throttle spring, and the throttle assist spring. For spring specifications, use the following spring specification chart.
    • If not as specified, replace the spring.
  4. Install the pressure modifier accumulator valve.
    1. Install the pressure modifier accumulator valve.
    2. Install the pressure modifier accumulator spring.
    3. Install the spring retainer.

  5. Install the pressure modifier valve.
    1. Install the pressure modifier valve spring.
    2. Install the pressure modifier valve.
    3. Install the pressure modifier valve spring.
    4. Install the pressure modifier valve sleeve.
    5. Install the stop pin.
