Cable Bracket - 2.0L ZETEC: Removal

  1. Disconnect the accelerator cable (9A758) from the throttle control lever (9A776) and the accelerator cable bracket (9723).
    1. Disconnect the cable housing from the accelerator cable bracket.
    2. Disconnect the accelerator cable end from the throttle control lever.
    3. Position the accelerator cable aside.

  2. Disconnect the speed control cable from the throttle control lever and the accelerator cable bracket.
    1. Disconnect the speed control actuator cable (9A825) from the throttle control lever.
    2. Disengage the speed control actuator cable sleeve from the retainer.
    3. Remove the retainer.

  3. Remove the throttle body (9E926); refer to FUEL SYSTEMS .
  4. Remove the bolts and the accelerator cable bracket.
