Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Installation

  1. Install the PCM and connect the electrical connectors.
  2. CAUTION: Make sure that the PCM electrical connectors do not unlock when installing the GEM module.
  3. Position the GEM module and install the 2 nuts.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. Install the passenger side lower footwell trim panel.

  6. Install the glove compartment.

  8. Install the cowl side trim panel.

  10. Install the instrument panel side trim.

  12. Restore the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration restore steps of the Programmable Module Installation procedure. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION article.
  13. Reprogram the passive anti-theft system (PATS). Carry out the Key Programming Using Two Programmed Keys procedure. For additional information, refer to ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) article.
